Just btw, 5KG is REALLY NOT THAT HEAVY, I actually went & tested the weight outside for a bit, so calling that "Heavy" brings to question the masculinity of Arcean troops. But pfff, I had no Idea Arceans had also discovered lightweight alloys, In that case I'll make some adjustments in turn.

I'm giving you numbers based off of 1950's era equipment. M14's, AR15's, M2 Carbines... The designs are based off weapons such as the Pedersen, AR10 and MP5. We're talking pretty dated.
I don't think I every said 5kg was heavy. I don't know what comment you are referring to about weight, but I was saying that the their are slightly heavier modern weapons that outperform GG weapons.
I think my larger point is that guns are a technology that was largely perfected in the 1950's. Everything we've ever done since has been a refinement. Heck, some guns have been made heavier because it turns out a lightweight gun has a lot of downsides.

Just... no... You can spin it any way you want to but your argument is still invalid. "Just as effective" isn't accurate.
Up until now we have been debating the raw killing power, but that's pointless as a person can only be killed THAT much, you can't KILL anyone anymore past the point of death. & Both sides weapons we have established are good at said killing.
BUT I still hold that US guns will have a hard time Killing a GG Combatant, where in US, GG Weapons will basically just fall onto equal grounds if you put aside the the fact that physically it's more superior weapons as far as handling & durability goes. Considering GG Weapons are mass produced in automated factories (Which doesn't effect the quality, if the quality control for said manufacturer is up to scratch) which implements procedures & makes use of materials smaller manufacturers simply can't compete with. In which case US uses frigg'n GUNSMITHS...

So The GG universe is about 1800 years older than ours right now. And somehow the British are still using the fucking Churchill even though the British army today uses no such thing. That's fucking weird. It's been roughly 500 years since ballistic weapons were invented, we've gone from no gun, to automatic weapons that won't fire until the scope has locked onto the target, with the capacity to shoot someone 300m away, but you guys still want to argue that a WW2 era weapon is still just as effective? WE SHOULD BE USING GOD DAMN LASERS AND PROJECTILES THAT CHANGE TRAJECTORY MID FLIGHT.

I think it's just the Churchill design, I do believe it's a modernized version. & yes we could but that wouldn't look as cool, besides, STAR Does use laser rifles.
